This policy describes how the independent developer of the iOS app "PayCalc / 給料計算" (the "App"), as listed in the seller information on the App Store (the "Developer"), handles user information in the App.
1. No account required
The App does not require you to create an account or enter personal information such as your name, address, email address, or phone number.
2. Information we process and why
Work data you enter (shifts, working hours, hourly wages, salary records): used to provide the App's core salary-calculation features. Data is stored on your device, and may also be stored in the cloud (Google Firebase) linked to an anonymous identifier for backup and sync. The Developer cannot identify you personally from this identifier.
Usage data: to improve quality, we use Google Firebase (Google Analytics for Firebase) to collect statistics such as screen views, interaction events, approximate region, device model, OS version, and crash information.
Advertising: the App shows banner ads via Google AdMob to keep its free features available. In the course of ad serving, device information and IP address may be sent to Google. On iOS, the App may ask for App Tracking Transparency permission. If you allow it, the advertising identifier (IDFA) is sent to Google to personalize and measure ads. If you do not allow it, the identifier is not used and ads are not personalized. You can change this at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. On Android, the device's advertising ID may be used by Google for ad serving (you can delete or reset it in the device settings).
Purchases: premium subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. The Developer never has access to your payment details. Transaction information (purchase date, product ID, etc.) is used to verify your subscription status.
Support inquiries: when you contact support, we receive your email address and the content of your message, and use them only to respond.
Shift-schedule photos and PDFs (only when you use "shift schedule import"; it is a Premium benefit, and non-members can also use it as a limited number of free reads): the image you take or select is sent to Google's Gemini API (Firebase AI Logic) for the purpose of reading your work schedule from it. PDFs are converted to an image on your device before being sent. Before sending, you can black out anything you do not want to share, such as colleagues' names. If you have set "your display name on the shift schedule" in Settings or on the shift schedule import screen, that name is sent as well so that the correct row can be identified. The Developer does not store the images you send. The App as distributed on the App Store and Google Play uses the paid Gemini API, under which Google does not use the submitted content or the responses to improve its products, and retains logs only for a limited period to detect and prevent abuse and to make any legally required disclosure. The schedule that was read is saved as work data only after you approve it on the confirmation screen. The number of times you use this feature is recorded in the cloud to enforce the monthly limit and the free-read allowance.
3. Third-party services
The Developer does not sell or provide user information to third parties except as required by law. The App relies on the following services, whose policies apply:
